Awnly (Awnly Pty Ltd (ABN 54 700 229 607), "Awnly", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect your personal information, and how you can access or correct it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

By using our website or providing information to us, you consent to the handling of your personal information as described in this policy.

What we collect

We collect the personal information you give us and information we need to provide our products and services, including: your name, delivery and billing address, email address and phone number; measurements, photos and property details you provide for a quote or order; order, payment and transaction records; communications with us (email, phone, chat, forms); and, if you apply for a role or partnership, the details you submit. We collect payment card details through our payment providers — we do not store full card numbers ourselves.

We also collect technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your device type, browser, IP address, pages viewed and referring source, through cookies and analytics tools (see Cookies and analytics below).

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you (when you place an order, request a quote, book a rep visit, sign up to emails, or contact us) and automatically through our website and its analytics tools. In some cases we may collect information from third parties, such as our freight carriers, where needed to fulfil your order.

Why we use it

We use your personal information to: process and fulfil orders and quotes; arrange delivery and communicate about your order; provide customer service and warranty support; process payments and prevent fraud; send you marketing communications where you have opted in (you can opt out at any time); improve our website, products and services; and meet our legal and tax obligations.

Direct marketing

Where you have opted in, we may send you marketing emails or messages about our products, offers and content. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe option, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or by contacting us at hello@awnly.com.au. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed to run our business, including with: our fabrication and supply partners (to make and deliver your product); freight and delivery providers; our technology providers who process data on our behalf, such as Shopify (ecommerce platform and payments), Klaviyo (email), our reviews, helpdesk and analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok advertising pixels); professional advisers (accounting, legal); and government or regulatory bodies where required by law. We require our service providers to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we engage them for.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our technology providers (including Shopify, Klaviyo and analytics/advertising platforms) store or process data on servers located outside Australia (for example in the United States). Where we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic and support advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where shown, through our cookie consent banner. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including through the security controls of our platform providers. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us at hello@awnly.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first at hello@awnly.com.au so we can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with the "last updated" date.
